Yoshinobu Yamamoto sweepstakes down to three teams?

The competition to sign baseball player Yoshinobu Yamamoto is now between three teams.

Alex Pavlovic from NBC Sports Bay Area mentioned that the San Francisco Giants won't be getting Yamamoto. It's expected that he might join either the Los Angeles Dodgers, New York Yankees, or New York Mets.

Yamamoto is looking at a contract worth over $300 million. So, it's no wonder only these teams are still trying to sign him.

Many think the Dodgers have a good chance because they were interested from the start. And now, after signing Shohei Ohtani to a big deal, their chances seem even better. Some thought Yamamoto might be at a recent game of the Los Angeles Rams, but that turned out to be wrong. Still, this doesn't mean the Dodgers are out of the race.

The Yankees have met with Yamamoto two times. They even gave him a special jersey and a video from famous Japanese player Hideki Matsui. The team has made a big offer, but they're waiting for Yamamoto's decision.

The Mets are also interested, but some think they're less likely to get him. Andy Martino from the New York Post thinks the main competition is between the Dodgers and Yankees. However, the Mets' owner is getting ready to make a strong offer.

We're not sure where Yamamoto will go. But many believe he'll decide before Christmas.
