Fernando Tatis Jr., a Dominican player, came back to play for the San Diego Padres and impressed many.
He quickly became a top player for the team.
Even after changing his position to an outfielder, he won a top award for his defensive skills. This shows he's versatile and can play different roles well.
He had some really good games too.
But his dad, also named Fernando Tatis, told him he needs to do even better.

His dad said, "You're talented. You can do more on the field. You need better stats."
Last season, Tatis Jr. got 148 hits, which included 33 doubles, a triple, and 25 home runs. He also helped score 78 runs. His batting average was .257.
Tatis Jr. said, "I'll get even better. I'm working hard for the next season."
He believes that in 2024, he'll prove once more that he's one of the best in Major League Baseball.
