Dodgers bringing back fan-favorite pitcher

The Los Angeles Dodgers are on the verge of striking a deal that will bring back free agent reliever Joe Kelly, according to a report by Robert Murray of FanSided on Saturday. All signs point to an imminent agreement between the Dodgers and Kelly.

The right-handed pitcher, aged 35, previously played for the Dodgers from 2019 to 2021, contributing to their 2020 World Series championship. After a stint with the Chicago White Sox in the 2022 season, Kelly returned to the Dodgers in July as part of the Lance Lynn trade with Chicago.

Despite his age, Kelly remains a formidable force on the mound, showcasing a 1.74 ERA and 19 strikeouts in just 11 appearances for the Dodgers last season. Beyond his on-field performance, local fans are eagerly anticipating Kelly's potential return due to the exciting and crowd-pleasing moments he has delivered in previous years. The only lingering question is whether the Dodgers will indeed re-sign this fan favorite who is currently a free agent.
